IDC reports that Esker vaults to third spot for worldwide fax server market share
STILLWATER, OK - April 9, 2001 - Esker today announced that International Data Corporation's recently published Worldwide Computer-Based Facsimile Market Forecast and Analysis, 2000-2005 reports that Esker moved up in market share during 2000 to become the third largest fax server vendor worldwide based on market share. Esker's movement up the ladder of worldwide market share is significant when compared to the 15th spot Esker occupied in the 1999 IDC report, making it's 2000 market share increase the most dramatic of any vendor in the report. Esker attributes the increase to its acquisition of VSI, the introduction of its innovative General Document Recognition feature for enabling e-delivery of legacy or packaged application documents without code-level modification, and its strengths in the production fax and inbound fax reception segments of the market.
